Advanced materials and technologies
Advanced materials and technologies for sustainable construction
The project focuses on the research and development of new advanced materials for the construction industry, their testing, monitoring of long-term properties and their durability. Attention is also paid to the subsequent recycling of materials at the end of their useful life and their reuse. An important part of the solution is to expand and optimise the raw material base, in particular by using renewable and secondary raw materials. This makes it possible to reduce the consumption of non-renewable raw material resources and often leads to savings in the energy required to produce conventional raw materials and supplies. The solution also includes methodologies for evaluating the properties of materials with a high degree of novelty, allowing their optimal use in structures and in practice, while achieving a favourable life cycle cost ratio.
In December 2020, the duration of the project was extended until the end of 2022 with the results of the project extended by 7 functional samples. As part of the extension, the project partners also changed, with Koma Modular withdrawing from the consortium at the end of 2020.

Plánované výsledky projektu
The project results are designed in line with current trends in the construction industry and the needs of the project partners, and include stabilisers and suspensions for base layers, new behavioural materials for the rehabilitation of reinforced concrete structures, concretes with a high use of recyclates, slab materials based on renewable and secondary raw materials, ceramic elements with increased air tightness, as well as methodologies for testing and evaluation of both newly developed materials and materials incorporated into structures.
In total, the following types and numbers of results are expected to be achieved:
two utility models
Fourteen functional samples
Two prototypes
Five methodologies and procedures accredited by an accredited body
Four proven technologies
